Directing Portfolio/Student Work Samples

Here is a sampling of my work as a director and a few snapshots of my students' theater work.

The Caribbean Odyssey

This is an original musical produced in collaboration with El Puente at MS 50 that uplifts a narrative about environmental justice. Students participated in the creative process through contributing to the script, lyrics, and theatrical design. Photography credit to Nate Stripp.

Student Produced Project

As a final project, students were tasked with selecting a source materials, adapting their source material and creating an original piece of theater. They led the creative process from start to finish. What you see here is a sampling of their final projects.

Integrated Arts Project: Environmental Justice

The past two years, I've worked with El Puente as an Integrated Arts Teaching Artist. Partnering with content teachers, I've activated academic content through the arts to create joyful, justice-centered and engaging learning spaces. Here are some photos from these projects!

The Transition of Doodle Pequeno

This production for all ages speaks to themes about gender identity, the Latinx experience and building relationships across differences. This show toured to middle schools in the Lehigh Valley and partnered with the Office of Community Engagement and Students for Queer Advocacy.

Reverse Transcriptions: Six Playwrights Bury a Seventh; A Ten Minute Play That's Nearly 20 Minutes Long

Reverse Transcriptions is a one act by Tony Kushner that explores grief and what it means to be a playwright.

Water Under the Bridge: A World Premiere

Water Under the Bridge is a world premiere that explores grief and growing up through the lens of Bridge to Terabithia. We return to Jess ten years after Leslie passes away and explore his experience of grief. This was a minimalistic production.
